ISTQB® (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) was founded in November 2002 with its global headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.  It has become the world-wide leader in the certification of competencies in software testing having over 400,000 certificates issued to professionals who gained competency in testing.


The Kenya chapter operates from Nairobi city centre where it manages the examination and certification of ISTQB exams.

Kenya serves the sub-saharan Africa region including Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania,  Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, & Zimbabwe.
